Hello. You can call me "Jack". It is not my real name, but for now it is enough that you need to know. I think it's time for me to tell my story. Believe it or not, that's the truth. I hope you learn from my mistakes, even if you ignore all this like the other 98% who listen to my story to the end. But there is more truth to this story than any of you can imagine.
Now, I'm out of school for three years, but rather a particular event occurred then I'll have to go back in time to tell the story.
First, my first two and a half years of high school, I studied at a school in the deep part of South America, near the Gulf.
Grew up listening to all kinds of scary stories and if there is a lesson that our super conservative parents taught us was that: never play with unknowns.
Until then I was very unpopular in my school. My first two years of high school were a real pain, because I was a big jerk and everyone laughed at me. I was lonely ... And all I was really doing in class was to play my Game Boy all day before rushing home to play an RPG that was hooked.
Everything changed during my first year, when we moved to the west.
I started attending a Catholic school with no more than 250 students. It was then that I finally got to fit in and make friends. No one here knew how stupid I was at another school, so I chose to "change my personality" and tried to make friends for the first time in my life. And who knows, maybe even get a beautiful girlfriend if you're lucky.
I began to meet people at school. In such a small school, you get to know everyone in your class.
My first day I made a new friend named Sam ... And at lunch, I chose to sit with him and his friends. He told me all about the other children in school - who was more popular, athletes, and so on.
He introduced me to his friends, too: Jim, a great guy who had an average of 10 in all matters, Vogelman the nerd and hacker Thomas and a musician who played guitar in a band.
I also met Stephanie, Asian and brave girl. Some of the boys said she was a bitch, but it would look cool enough. For some reason she thought I was funny and so we begin to find after school.
Sam told me many stories about her, as she used to do some snacks and sprinkle all with Viagra or poured laxatives, they ate and suffered the impact and spent hours in the bathroom. I just laughed politely and never accepted the things she offered me to eat, afraid to be some catch it.
There was also Rottenbacher. His real name was Jason, but everyone always called him "Rottenbacher" or "German" because he was a Nazi hardcore. He was rejected and lonely. No one wanted to be his friend. Every day he wore a red swastika armband under his coat where teachers could not see.
In addition, on Halloween and school fantasy events he always went with his Nazi uniform and long SS boots.
In fact it was a distressed bitch. Whenever we had history lesson and the teacher asked him about Nazism, he shouted racial or ethnic slurs, he left the classroom shouting "Heil Hitler!"
In addition, a peculiar thing called my attention, was limping as he felt a lot of pain. Sam told me that someone once saw hit a barbed cilice in the locker room of a Catholic Church, as his was to punish for their sins.
It was a Catholic school, so people believed that it was just a devout Christian. It was kind of strange for a Hitler hardcore lover like Rottenbacher, but as I was engaged in high school did not give much importance.
After he finished to introduce myself to all his colleagues, Sam told me some stories of the old school - including an urban legend that circled over the city, a girl who died mysteriously after playing something called as "The mobile game". If you asked someone what happened, no one could anything relevant. Always said it was because she played "The mobile game"
Sam, Stephanie lane, Nazi Rottenbacher, The mobile phone game, the police investigation into the disappearance of teenager. All these people and events were about to come together to take me to a place that at least want to be.
Anyway, the second half and went in a flash it was the last year of high school.
Everyone was back for the new school year, pumped to start the laziest and most fun year of our high school lives. Even Rottenbacher, still limping around the school made in barbed cilice, still spouting his Nazi trash every time someone messed with it.
The year began strangely quiet. Two more cases of disappearance had happened at school and the police were already suspicious of a possible serial killer. According to the newspaper, the only thing in common that the police had found, was that each person who disappeared had received a text message that said, "Welcome to the game." But how messages had been sent to different people the police dismissed this information.
For me, things finally were not going badly. It was this year that I finally began to open up with several people. I made great friendships and for once I did not feel alone. Gradually, I began to fit me into several groups and it made me a popular person.
Stephanie always with me because he thought me funny and for some reason she liked my jokes. There was a day - I still remember as one of the happiest of my life - she came to me in the middle of campus after school and looked at me with those beautiful Asian eyes and long hair, black eyes and a wonderful smile. I had never seen her so beautiful, she with a little shy way asked:
- Jack, you ... Would you be my boyfriend?
I smiled, jumped for joy at this. - Of course! Of course - I said, then we kissed in front of everyone. I finally had a girlfriend. I still remember that was one of the happiest days of my life, if not the most happy. We went out after school, went to the cinema, dated at her house and mine.
Maybe I would not be so happy if I knew what would happen in the coming days.
It was a day at lunchtime, she was sitting with us, when she mentioned that on a night with her friends they were talking about the legend of "The Mobile Game". She said that these girls knew all about the rules of the game and had explained everything to her in great detail.
Supposedly, you can join the game at any time was only send a text message at midnight for the correct phone number. The text message should say: "I wish to have the power to curse people." If you work, you will receive a message back saying: "Welcome to the game" and supposedly this was the reason given to police about the disappearance.
Stephanie talked more about the game and pay attention to what she was saying.
She told us that once someone is within the game, it runs the risk of life. Within two weeks they would be subject to different tasks or else they would be dragged into the night.
I interrupted her - Dragged? How come? Where?
She was silent for a while before answering.
- I do not know - she whispered before continuing his story.
She said there were two ways to not be drawn:
The first was finding an item of special protection. The item can be anything. You never knew what was going to be, but had to be some item that always should always accompany you and would be hurting you causing you pain. This was a small price depending on the time of life you have left.
The second way was to bring someone to the game. This could be done by sending a text message saying "Welcome to the game" for anyone you know personally. If someone received a text message from someone else who was in the game, then it meant that person was now in the game too, and subject to all the same rules and consequences of gambling. If one does not find a protective item yourself, or bring another person to the game, then they would also be dragged.
The problem with this second form is as follows: While the protective item protect you indefinitely. Bring someone to the game, only increases the time for you to find a protective item for another two weeks. If then bring someone else just one week. Eventually, the grace period would be getting shorter. And at that time you would have to find your protection item.
Even if it look like an episode of X-Files, I did not like to hear her talk about these things, so I told her that was a lot of nonsense.
- Do you really think silly? - She asked. If that is true imagine how cool it would be able to curse anyone who messed with you, bringing them to the game! You could get rid of anyone and no one would ever know it was you.
I had never heard Stephanie talking like that. It almost seemed insane at the thought of revenge. Truth be told, it scared me a little.
So I told her - We should not go play with things beyond our understanding. And if you get involved with this and found out that it is true? I do not know what I would do if something happened to you! Promise me you will not mess with these things!
She gave me a funny look - I never thought you'd be the kind of person is afraid of these silly things, Jack.
- Well, I just do not think it's right tinker with things you do not understand - I looked worried for her - Now promise me Stephanie. Promise you will not try this.
She sighed - All right, all right. I will not try to play mobile game. Are you happy now?
I said yes, but truth be told, I was scared. I did not believe her. In all that time we were together I never suspected that she was lying to me or to betray me, but I could see in her eyes that she would try this game. But this time it was serious.
Then a few days later, she approached me and said he had entered the mobile game, I annoyed me.
-What Are you thinking, Stephanie? You promised me you would not!
- Yes, yes I know! But it's no big deal. I already have everything planned. In addition, if true and work, will be an opportunity that I would not let go.
She held up her cell phone and said - See for yourself.
A text message is opened on the screen that said, "Welcome to the game."
- Half weird, right? I received right after I sent the text at midnight, and the girls said.
My jaw dropped. I was speechless and terrified. This game can not be real, right?
- Stephanie, if this is real, then you are in danger now. You only have two weeks to find your protection item.
- I know. That's why I sent the text to Rebecca. I'll find out if the game is real or not!
- You did what? But Stephanie, if this is real, then it means that you can be a killer! Rebecca could now die because of you! -
-Relaxe, Jack. I really do not believe any of these things. But just in doubt, Rebecca was always a bitch. I realized the way she looked at you during class. She gave the same giggle malicious her that I always loved. But this time, I did not feel comfortable with it.
A few weeks passed and nothing happened. But then, one day, Rebecca did not show up at school. At lunch time, Stephanie was sitting around us, as usual, when the assistant principal gave a warning with his megaphone.
- I ask a little attention, please - All was silent. - The police informed us that one of his colleagues, Rebecca, this disappeared.
Stephanie golden skin was white. She froze.
- Their parents are worried many. If any of you know anything about this, please come talk to me after class. For now it is.
- Stephanie ... - I whispered. I was very afraid for her. I was too afraid of what she might do. She looked at me and said - Do not say anything.
She got up and ran out of the cafeteria. I chased after her.
- Stephanie! Stephanie! What are you doing?
She kept running me then pulled his phone from his pocket.
- Do not try to stop me, Jack. To survive I will need more time. I can stay another week if I put someone in the game, and this will give me three weeks to find.
- Stephanie, listen to this saying, you think of cursing now? Would you kill someone else for a little extra time? Look what happened to you!
She began to cry.
- I know fuck! But I know who I'll curse. No one will miss him, I promise.
- Stephanie, that's not right. You can not do that. No one deserves that. Let me help you! We can find a protective object for you, together!
She turned around and showed me his cell phone. She had just sent a message that said: "Welcome to the game."
She sent for Rottenbacher.
I started to cry. I grabbed her as tightly as I could. - Stephanie, Stephanie. I love you. But I'm sorry. This is not right. None of this is right.
She held me and began to cry deeply as well. We held each other there for almost an hour. I still remember like it was yesterday.
So that night, before we go home, we both decided that we would start to seek a protective item the next day. The next day, I was walking with Stephanie, after school, when Rottenbacher approached us with your cell phone. He was furious.
- Is this some kind of joke bitch slant-eyed?
Truth be told, I thought Rottenbacher had the right to be a little angry. Sure, he was a Nazi perverted maniac, but with all the rumors of murder around, I could imagine someone being angry after receiving a text message like this.
But still, I would not let anyone talk to my girlfriend like that.
- Hey man, look respect! This is not the way to talk to a lady!
- Lady? - Rottenbacher shouted - That's no lady! She's just a bitch and she tried to kill me! I bet you killed the other girl, too, is not it? Rebecca? She is gone because of you is not it?
Stephanie began to cry again.
I pulled my arm back and gave a strong punch that could Rottenbacher in the face. He stumbled back a few steps and wiped his mouth, which ran some blood flow, but he kept his composure.
I kind of thought he would on me to hit me.
After a moment he said:
- You do not understand right Stephanie? I'm already in the game. I've always been. I know the rules and the extra time you have. But unlike you, I have never needed to kill anyone. "
- Nonsense - I said - If all this is true, then how are you still alive?
Suddenly I remembered that Rottenbacher wore sackcloth around his leg that caused him to limp in agony, and that Stephanie had told me at lunch.
When a new protection item was discovered, whatever it was, would cause its bearer to suffer.
- Do you have a protective item.
Stephanie's eyes lit up. It was clear that he had noticed the same thing I had. Rottenbacher smiled - That's right, and I was his girlfriend, bothered to find an item rather than making new victims.
Stephanie looked at him with fear in her eyes.
The days passed and try as we might, Stephanie and I could not find anything that could qualify as a protective item. We were approaching a period of two weeks and she was looking more and more scared every day. His hair was a mess, her usually bubbly personality was sad and upset. She stared into space for classes and prayed constantly.
After two weeks, we were both terrified. She came to me at school and said: - Jack, I want you to sleep with me tonight. Stay with me all night. Do not let them take me.
I could not refuse. I showed up at his house late at night and went through his window. We slept together. It was bittersweet.
She went to sleep holding me, but I stayed up most of the night watching and waiting, until I finally fell asleep around 4:30 am so exhausted.
The next day when I woke up, all I could think was "Stephanie!" I looked around frantically. She was not in bed beside me.
- Stephanie! - I screamed loud and out of bed and started looking for her. I walked into your kitchen.
- Do not talk so loud - said a voice. It was Stephanie. I turned to see her sitting at a round table in the kitchen. She was smiling and seemed so distressed as ever.
I gave a sigh of relief.
- My parents were already working, but I do not want the neighbors to become suspicious of something.
Cried with relief. The extra time it was over and she was safe. Nothing had come for her. I ran all over the kitchen floor and hugged her and kissed.
Everything was normal.
For two weeks.
So I went to school one day and nine of our colleagues had disappeared, including Sam.
Everyone was terrified. No one knew what had happened to them or where they would have gone. No one knew except me and the person who was responsible for it: Stephanie.
If the amount of time was reduced by half every time she brought someone to the game, meant that the extra time would be running again until tonight.
I confronted her about it after school.
- Stephanie, the police are getting suspicious. You can not do it anymore, and I can not see you doing it. This is wrong. It is bad!
She looked at me in silence. I still remember the look in his eyes that day. At this point, it became clear to me that the girl I had known and loved was far away, and all that remained was a soulless, evil clinging to life and fear death more than anything. But even so, I still loved her more than anything. She was my first and only girlfriend, I could not let her go. I could not let anything happen to her.
- It's okay - she said - I will not do it anymore. I accept the consequences. No one else will die because of me.
- Stephanie ... are you sure? Maybe we can still find a protective item for you if you look now.
She looked down sadly - No more reason to run away from my destination. I just want to spend the night with you tonight, okay? One more night together. That's all I want.
I was heartbroken. Everything was very melancholy and very melodramatic. I was so sad to hear her words that she would be taken away from me.
I threw up. I vomited and vomited repeatedly in a trash can around trying to fight back an endless stream of tears.
That night she slept with me again. Sick, weak and weary, I passed out from exhaustion near the 3h00.
Less than an hour later, I woke up with a start.
Stephanie left.
I sat up and looked around, then found a note. I read.
"[Jack]: I'm sorry I lied to you again, but I'm not ready to die yet"
A chill ran down my spine. I continued to read.
"I found out what I need to do. Do not worry, as I said, no one will die because of me"
What could she be thinking? I looked around my room. Suddenly, I noticed that the pistol caliber 45 my dad bought me for my 18th birthday was gone from my room, and now it all made sense.
That's why she wanted to spend the night with me tonight. She wanted my gun. she was planning to go after Rottenbacher and take your protection item.
The so fast that I could put some clothes and runs off to my dad's car. I went out into a run towards apartment Rottenbacher.
When I got there, I noticed that the lock had been shot and out and heard voices coming from the inside.
I pushed the door open - What's going on here? - I screamed.
I looked around. Stephanie was pointing the gun. The walls of the apartment were covered with pictures of Adolf Hitler and swastika banners. There were whips and chains around the bedroom floor. Rottenbacher was stepping around sleeve pajamas fulfilled and cursing her in her typical neo-Nazi way, screaming about 'home invasion' and on "call the police" and this and that. He was even wearing that stupid Nazi armband. It was obvious that this guy was a crazy fanatic.
Stephanie screamed at him - Shut up!
She fired two shots against the wall behind him.
- Now give me that bearded thing of torture that you are always using, or I'll kill you right now.
Her voice was frightening.
Rottenbacher stayed in place for a moment and slowly began removing his pajama pants.
- You're making a big mistake. You should just accept things as they are and die with dignity. You will not get away with this.
He took the hair shirt of his leg, which ran a small amount of blood and handed it to her.
Immediately, she put it on his own leg with one hand, messing with my pistol as she squeezed until it hurt, and his own leg started to bleed a little.
- Come on, Jack - she whispered and turned to leave.
I started going out with her. From the apartment, I heard cries of Rottenbacher.
- You will not get away with this! He will come to you and it will drag you to hell for what you did! You will pay for the lives of your colleagues!
I could see she was crying a little as we walked away.
I was wrong. I was disgusted with it all. I stayed with Stephanie disgust for being so cruel and selfish, and I was disgusted with myself that I watched all this and seeing the signs, and do nothing to stop it. But at least now she would be safe.
While walking back to the car, I did a little prayer for Rottenbacher in the hope that he could find a new protection item within two weeks. It may have been a racist bastard, but somehow, he still kinder than Stephanie. And if what he said about never bring anyone to the game were true, and he did not deserve to die for it.
I left Stephanie in your home. She was exhausted. I would have given him a kiss, but I was very sick and just wanted the whole ordeal was over.
- Good night - I whispered to her.
- Good evening, Jack. I love you - she whispered back, and got out and went home.
I started driving home, exhausted with everything that happened.
Suddenly, my phone started ringing. I picked it up. It was a call from Stephanie.
I asked.
- Hello?
The first thing I heard was a scream, followed by what sounded like the sound of knocking on your door.
- Jack! Help me! He's here! He's here, and he's coming for me!
- What? Hang On! Stephanie!
I made a turnaround in the car and takes off sprinting back to your home. Stephanie was becoming more frantic.
Suddenly, across the line, I heard the sound of his door being beaten, followed by another scream. I could hear Stephanie screaming at the top of his lungs, my blood ran cold with crying. I still remember the moment perfectly, and I remember word for word of her screams.
- No, No, I do not want to die! - Adrenaline rose in my heart and I stepped on the gas. No, No, Please Stop!
She screamed again and I heard what sounded like the phone hitting the ground Stephanie's cries grew ever further.
And then, the dead air.
- Stephanie? Stephanie! Answer fucking!
No reply, I hung up and called the police.
When I arrived at Stephanie's house, the front door had been crushed, I parked the car on your lawn and jumped out, carrying my pistol caliber .45 with me.
I ran inside, looking through the halls. Everything was in slow motion.
So I went to Stephanie's room. I turned on the light and checked every corner with my pistol in the lead. Finally, I lowered the gun when something caught my eye in the center of the room. Stephanie's cell phone was thrown on the floor beside her bed.
In the middle of the room on the carpet, had a small spot of blood. It was not more than a few drops. But the most chilling vision of all was that from the edge of her bed to the door of his room that led into the hall there was a trail of claw marks she had left as something or someone had dragged away from his conviction.
I could not stand it. I turned and left the room. On the way out, I could not help but notice that she had ripped most of your nails scratching the carpet and they were scattered near the tracks his fingers had left.
I could hear the sirens coming in the distance
Gone are the days, then weeks, then months. Police made inquiries, they questioned me many times, my story was always the same. I told them the truth, as I knew. I think they did not believe me, but all evidence proved my story and there was nothing they could use to judge me as guilty. Then they released me.
Things gradually returned to normal.
Our classes are back to normal and I finished the year after I went to college.
But there was one thing that still bothered me about Rottenbacher. Is he not disappeared like other people. And Stephanie had done right and got his item, yet she was dragged.
This can only mean two things: Either the rules were wrong, or was Rottenbacher that got rid of my girlfriend. If this were the case, I'm going to launch my revenge on him.
